Billing, trial and limits
The free trial, your subscription, and the usage limits that keep Studio responsive for everyone.
Plan and trial
Studio has one plan, billed per organization each month, with no charge per user. It includes a set number of verified Decision briefs, published views and records judged each month; see Pricing for the current price and amounts. Your model usage is billed separately by your own model provider, under your account with them.
A new organization starts with a 7-day free trial, and no card is needed. Each person gets one trial: a second organization created by the same person starts without one.
Subscribe and manage billing
Admins and owners open Organization settings → Billing:
- Subscribe starts your Studio subscription through a secure checkout.
- Manage billing opens the billing portal, where you manage your payment method, invoices, and subscription.
The panel shows your status: active, trial (with its end date), past due, or no subscription yet. A subscription renews each period until you cancel it.
When a trial ends
If the trial ends without a subscription, the organization is suspended. Admins see Subscribe and can restore access straight away; members are asked to contact an admin. If a payment fails, the panel shows the subscription as past due, so you can update your payment method before access is interrupted.
Usage limits
To keep Studio responsive, some actions are limited per person, per minute. Normal use stays well within them. For example, you can send up to 30 chat messages and 60 approvals or answers a minute. If you reach a limit, Studio says "Too many requests. Please wait a moment and try again." Wait a few seconds and try again.
Other limits you might notice:
| What | Limit |
|---|---|
| Web searches | 500 per organization per day, resetting at midnight UTC |
| Invitations | 50 per organization per day, and one email to the same address per hour |
| Sign-in and password-reset emails | 3 per address every 15 minutes, and 10 a day |
| Failed sign-ins | After 10 in an hour, the account is locked for the rest of that hour |
